JON FRANKEL (Director, Producer, Camera) American Man is Frankel's second feature length documentary. Hellfighters premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and was featured on ESPN. Since 2006 Frankel has been a correspondent on HBO's REAL Sports with Bryant Gumbel. He began his career as a local sportscaster in West Palm Beach before moving to Miami and back home to New York City. Before long Frankel moved to the networks and spent ten years as a general assignment correspondent for NBC, ABC and CBS News. Once active in contact sports, Frankel now gets his kicks from cross-training. He competed in the Hawaii Ironman and is an avid skier. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.
